 An exciting thing about buying a new PC is to follow these setup steps before you use it with Windows 10.

It is exciting to open a new PC and begin the process of unwrapping the protective plastic, powering it up, and beginning to use it. Although your new Windows 10 PC is now ready to use, there are some important tasks you must complete to fully configure, protect, and utilize it.

1.Re-install Windows.

Accessing Windows Security settings in the Settings app under the heading "Updates and Security" is a simple process (the same place you found Windows Update). Once you've opened the Windows Security dialog box, check for any yellow warning flags to see what you should do. It is important to make sure everything is okay before proceeding.

However, sometimes Windows 10 fails to locate the correct drivers and always installs a generic one, which may or may not work properly and may or may not enable all of the device's features. Even if a new, still-in-the-box computer is being used, make sure that it has all of the appropriate drivers installed.

Drivers are the software that gives your computer specific instructions on how to use the components that it has installed. By searching the Start menu for "Device Manager" and then opening it, you can see all the drivers listed.

Be on the lookout for yellow flags (or Generic Devices) as well. Select the item and then right-click on it and select Update Driver. In order for Windows to automatically locate drivers, set it to do so.

If Windows is unable to locate the correct drivers, you may have to download them from the manufacturer's website.
